Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of defendut.com (the “Site”), including any account-protected areas. By using the Site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Accounts

  • You must provide an email address you control, and the information you give us must be accurate.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
  • One account per person. Do not share your login credentials or let others use your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • Some areas of the Site are private and available by invitation. If you were given a link to a private area, treat it as private and do not republish it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, infringe someone else’s rights, or harass, threaten, or defame anyone.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, other accounts, or the systems behind them.
  • Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Site in a way that burdens it, or attempt to bypass rate limits or bot protection.
  • Upload malware or anything designed to disrupt the Site.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

Content on the Site

Written material, images, and other content on the Site belong to Defend Utah or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read and share links to the Site, and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions without permission.

Content on the Site reflects political opinion and advocacy. It is provided for information and discussion. It is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice, and should not be relied on as such.

Anything you submit

If you submit content to the Site, you keep ownership of it. By submitting it you give Defend Utah permission to store and display it as needed to operate the Site. Do not submit anything you do not have the right to share.

Availability and changes

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including private areas and accounts, at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Defend Utah is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including lost data or lost profits. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how it is handled. It forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept them.
